Holohear breaks the communication barrier for folks with hearing disabilities. Holohear uses the Hololens to assist folks with hearing disabilities to communicate in realtime. Holohear can also teach you the sign language so you can communicate effectively with folks with hearing disabiliites.

As a user with hearing disabilities and assuming he/she is wearing the hololens. The user can move and place an avatar next to the person they want to communicate with. As the other person starts speaking, the avatar will translate the words into hand signs in real-time. On the other hand, the app has a mode where a user can learn to make hand signs for spoken words.
